At Twentyone, we work with a diverse range of clients, each one bringing a new challenge to the team. A few months ago, we had the pleasure of meeting Ged Ennis, the director of Low Carbon Energy, and helping his company improve their branding and website.
Low Carbon Energy, a leading multi-service renewable energy company, offer solar PV, LED lighting and energy monitoring services to a number of sectors, including commercial, farming, the public sector and domestic. Their forward-thinking business and eco-friendly ideas and services are inspiring to say the least – so having the opportunity to work with them was fantastic.
While Low Carbon Energy had a number of fabulous services to offer, their identity was weak and sent confused and mixed messages to their intended target markets. Knowing this was a problem, the company approached The Design Council – the UK Government’s official advisors on all things design – to help them overcome these issues.
After being invited to pitch by The Design Council, alongside two other agencies, Low Carbon Energy decided to choose Twentyone digital marketing agency in Blackburn to help them meet their requirements. Through better branding and web design, we set upon helping the company achieve their key objectives:
1) To drive contact with the company’s business development team
2) To effectively communicate the benefits of solar PV and energy monitoring solutions.
The Twentyone team member behind Low Carbon Energy’s brand refresh was Marketing Director and brand expert, Sam Fletcher. Through identifying the company’s needs, he led on the project to present a more commercial, concise identity and message. This new, refined message and branding was applied to a revamped, clean user-friendly responsive website as well as all marketing materials – including exhibition stands.
The final part of the branding project was a shiny new corporate video, which communicated the benefits of investing in a commercial PV system and explained why Low Carbon Energy made an attractive partner. We collaborated with video and film experts RTR digital agency to produce this video.
The project isn’t over yet though. Following the success of the re-brand, we’re now helping Low Carbon Energy to drive targeted visitors to their website using Google advertising, email marketing and social media marketing – which are just a few of the services we can provide to clients here at Twentyone.
Commenting on the project, Sam Fletcher said:
“I really love getting stuck into projects like this. Low Carbon Energy was suffering from a weak identity and was sending a confused message to its intended marketplace. This was starting to affect the business.
“We set about putting this right with a re-brand and applied this new identity to a responsive website that would showcase the company’s range of renewable energy services and demonstrate expertise in the marketplace.
“Our team did everything – from design, copywriting and photography to collaborating with a local video production agency to produce a corporate video that communicated the benefits of investing in Solar PV in a simple way.”
Ged Ennis, Director, Low Carbon Energy adds:
“We chose Twentyone against three other competing agencies. Twentyone gave us confidence they could deliver and since the appointment we’ve been very happy with the outcome.
“We’re delighted with the re-brand, website and all the other marketing collateral created. We’re looking forward to a much closer working relationship in the future.”
