Twentyone has started 2015 on a high after coming up trumps in a 5 way pitch, securing the re-design and development of Nelson and Colne College’s new website.
The college, who offer sixth form, apprenticeships and adult courses, were looking to modernise their website, tailoring it to the needs and preferences of today’s young adults as well as engaging with local employers.
Our winning pitch outlined details of how we planned to completely overhaul the college’s website. We’ll be looking at improving the visitor journey, making it as simple and inspiring as possible, and integrating a new user-friendly WordPress Content Management System.
Talking about our pitch, Nelson and Colne commented:
“When looking to review our website we wanted a company who could provide innovative and practical site development solutions, with value for money delivery.
“Twentyone understood the requirements of our site and proposed simple, but effective solutions for our brief. Their design proposals were engaging and captured our brand ambitions. What’s more, their practical, ‘no nonsense’ approach gave us confidence in their delivery and we’re looking forward to seeing our new site come to life!”
At Twentyone, we know just how important it is to plan a user’s online journey. A home page needs to confirm that visitors have reached their intended destination, with a clear design, content and logos. Navigation also has to be completely clear. If a user can’t find what they are looking for or can’t work their way around your website, they are likely to be switched off.
Design also has to be taken into consideration. Key points have to be effectively presented on a page, especially calls to action. A page shouldn’t be cluttered with images and text either.
Finally, choosing a reliable Content Management System, like WordPress, allows an enjoyable experience for readers and you – the owners of the business. WordPress gives you complete control of your site and is 100 per cent customisable. It’s also scalable and can grow with your business.
“I was over the moon when we won this pitch. We showed the client something completely different and went out on a limb but it paid off. The team can’t wait to get started on the project and share the results later this year.”
Sam Fletcher, Marketing Director at Twentyone, added:
“We’ve got a great track record in the education sector and I’m looking forward to supporting and developing a long-term relationship with the college.”
